This was the first time ‘Swinella’ appeared in the world. A few years Gloria Sync had a little clothing label and she did some pig themed T-shirts. She had to do a photoshoot so that she could post the T-shirts online for sale, and she thought it would be really good if she dressed up as a pig-girl for the pictures. Gloria got herself a plastic snout and a wig and the photos were taken. After the shoot she started to wonder about the pig-girl. What was her name? Where did she live? What was she into? Well, now we know. Her name is Swinella., she lives in Hamden Town and she’s into punk rock and sodomy.

These are the front and back covers of the UK first edition paperback of 'Swinella'.

These are the Hamden Town tube station and street signs. Obviously they’re the same as the equivalent signs in London in ‘the real world’, but in nicer colours.

This is the septagram, or seven-pointed star, that the members of the Hamden Town covens wear around their necks.

Here is an old picture of 'The Mother Red Cap' in Camden Town, which in Hamden Town is simply called 'The Red Cap'. If you look at the roof on the left hand side you can see a statue of a witch. 'Swinella' authoress Gloria Sync used to live in the room behind this statue, although by then the statue was long gone and the pub had been renamed 'The World’s End'
